Clear arrangements before work begins

Individual psychological therapy

Standard appointments are 50 minutes and cost £130. Fees are payable in accordance with the practice terms provided before the first appointment.

Cancellations

I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment. The full session fee is payable where less than 24 hours’ notice is given or an appointment is missed.

Private health insurance

I consider referrals funded through private health insurance and have experience working with clients funded by Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality and WPA.

Recognition, authorisation, session limits, fees and the treatment covered vary between insurers and individual policies. Please check your cover, obtain any required authorisation or claim number and confirm whether an excess or personal contribution applies before treatment begins.

Commissioned psychological treatment

The £130 fee applies to standard 50-minute psychological treatment appointments. Where treatment is commissioned by a case manager, insurer or organisation, any assessment, record review, reporting, liaison, meetings or other professional activity will be agreed and costed separately.

No single report or assessment fee is published because the time required depends on the referral question, records, intended audience and level of professional responsibility.

Organisational work

Consultation, reflective practice, workshops and other selected organisational work are agreed according to scope. The purpose, format, responsibilities, fee and review arrangements are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Free initial conversation

Where an enquiry appears potentially appropriate, I offer a free telephone conversation of up to 15 minutes for private, professional-referral and organisational enquiries. It is an initial discussion rather than a therapy session, assessment or commitment to work together.
